Well the man does only want her for sex. Consider the chapter where they ate together, he saw a smile of her he'd never seen before, but the first thing that came to his mind was sex. Agree with you but both of them are actually annoying, him for pushing for a no strings relationship but wanting her to behave like she’s exclusively devoted to him and her for wanting more but for some unexplainable reason not confronting him about the direction she wants the relationship to take and instead going around complicated circles that lead to nowhere
