I think it is machine translated. My brain did an overtime to read this so I had to take breaks. Hoping for a better translation, or even an official translation.
I was rereading and I believe that was timeskips you're referring to. I think they just aren't super great at indicating they're doing flashbacks/timeskips

The author also got a little worse at writing the storyline and the art got a bit uglier.
I'm sorry but the new volume seems machine translated, a lot of sentences don't make sense, if you compare it to the first chapters it's such a loss because it also removes personality from the characters, Yamamoto was so funny before.
Also they seem out of order, they were having sex in the small soundproof room in ch.1 of the volume and later they first introduce Yamamoto to said room.
