There is a little bit of a love triangle; there’s unrequited love on the second male lead but he finds himself a partner later, so there’s a second couple. The ‘red flag’ in this case isn’t toxicity, but mental illness. This story is very angsty but also an incredibly realistic portrayal of how a romance with a depressed person feels like.
Do not read this if you expect a fairytale everything-is-perfect kind of romance; this story goes really ugly at times with miscommunication, self loathing, and bad decisions on BOTH parties because they are equally traumatized souls with their own wounds to heal. You might feel frustrated at times because these characters will make real mistakes (NOT cheating, but insecure thoughts and actions) but the story is absolutely worth reading if you want a realistic romance where they genuinely work through their issues together. The two characters really love each other by the end, even if everything isn’t perfect and they acknowledge that they’re willing to try and be better people.
Does this have love triangle? Second Male lead? redemption arc? cheating? red flag? miscommunication?
