ML is a regressor and he needs MC helps so that he can finally die (i just read the end of the web novel so i can't say the detail) but then in the final arc, they need to fight with a necromancer and keymaster at the same time, which kind of difficult considering ML is the main attacker and he can't split himself into two. knowing how ppl die one after another, MC decides to use his hidden skill, sacrifice. He locked the keymaster and kill him with the cost of his own life.
So MC died, and ML and all of the characters revealed in manhwa so far mourn for him (i cried so hard here bcs in manhwa they look like they didnt welcome or even hate the MC) (taera cried the most btw)
so ML, finally can die peacefully without regressing anymore, chose to regress one more time for MC using reward skill given by the final keymaster. But bcs MC is from another world, even ML don't know if he can meet MC again or not
there's some plot twists too tbf but i think i will leave that for you to discover yourself hahaha. i read from the page ±742-ish in that scribd link to understand the final arc so you guys can try reading the ending from there
