The scandal is that Seo-in bullied and beat up a kid when he was in highschool. The one that did it was that fucking bitch of his step-brother and the victim was Yeong-woon.
He said that the scandal doesn't have anything to do with him because that's the truth, he didn't do anything (Seo-in's step-mom getting panicked when she saw Yeog-woon, and how the money Yeong-woon had to run away from his father was given to him by her to shut him up).
He doesn't know the victim was Yeong-woon...he doesn't even know why Yeong-woon suddenly disappeared one day without reaching out to him.

I didn’t quite get that part either. I think the author hasn’t made it clear yet. Personally, I think Seoin might have assumed that the article mentioned his brother’s past bullying scandal from their school days and that it was being linked to him as well. Or maybe the article was only about his brothe but it’s not clear whether it’s actually connected to YW. Another possibility is that Seoin didn’t read the whole article and just skimmed through it.
yall sorry i overlooked the scandal part. what exactly did seo-in think happened/believe from the news? like who does he think is the bully and the victim since he isn’t aware that it’s yw?
