I read a spoiler comment saying he really didn't do anything he turned a blind eye to mc's situation. I didn't read the novel so idk if it's true or not but if yes I will burn him. From Sanyu reaction in the last chapter, he looks quite troubled, almost like feeling guilty, but guilty for what ? for turning a blind eye. IM SO ANGRY SOMEONE STOP ME

I think that he didn’t participate and didn’t know till the end before the accident
And the guilt that he’s feeling because he didn’t know and couldn’t help the mc
And he doesn’t want him to remember and have a breakdown like before I still don’t like him covering the truth because this is a memory someday it will come back so you should warn him help him what if he meet the person who abuse him and he doesn’t know it you should tell him you know that’s why I don’t like him. He just want to live in this delusion that everything will be okay just because Mc doesn’t remember and have a good relationship with everybody now

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just saying he could've at least, instead of trying to " brainwash " or trying to " protect " him by saying it was only a bad dream he could've tried to help him a little bit. Like Sky said up there, memories will come back, even more if you're still in the same environment. Because that's like, wanting to be in denial and that everything's going perfectly. Mc dreamt about Sanyu, don't you think that's weird ? if Sanyu didn't know, he wouldn't appear in the dream or else mc would've dreamt about the other members too. The other probably knew later about what happened to Mc but it was maybe too late. I know it's normal to want to protect someone from remembering the bad memories, but i just find him very weird and delusional. My speculation now is, Sanyu was the second person to know about Mc's situation, maybe he did try to help him in the past but Mc's refused his help. Idk I'm gonna read the novel i'll see how it goes.
