I have a hard time reading this and I hope someone can kinda communicate things a bit better.

So the female leads mother Sexually assaults the dad right. She gets pregnant raises the child alone, then drops the child of at the victims house….?

Like does that sound like something to put your child through? Like I understand she was sick right and someone needed to take responsibility for the child, but the worst person to take the child to would have definitely been the father, since he and his family were know to be close knit etc (He had that reputation of being a good husband and father)

Alright so, The female lead is undoubtedly the utmost victim in this!!!! No debate

But the father. Has to then come to terms with the fact his was assaulted and a child was formed from it one that now he is basically forced to take care of, and has disrupted the family dynamic wether. The female leads mother who decided to assault the father literally did not think about the life long implications and impact of what her actions would truly do. Which is why apart from the royal family and the mistress I believe the mother is the antagonist of this story tbh.

So the duchess was not wrong for wanting to divorce however, to protect the children from the broken situation. I firmly believe things would've been different had she been alive the dynamic would’ve been completely altered.

And if the dad took time for himself away from his duke title to heal, maybe things would’ve changed.

Cause his sons ended up inheriting his hurt & even his daughter slightly

Like this story to me sheds light on why its harmful to place affair children in certain situations, cause the end up taking the perpetrator who is their parents identification.

Like I need to understand how the mom was deadass convinced into assaulting someone.

idkkkkk I’m wrong about anything please correct meee. These are just thoughts and I would love to hear everyones perspectivesss!!!

Where does it say the father was assaulted? I understood he had an affair and the only reason he replied to Olivia's mother's letters (she was sending them because she was dying) was to save Estelle from becoming the crown princess. So everything from what I understood was the father's fault

Like he still acted like a dickhead don’t get me wrong but like, you cant help but think this guys whole world was flipped upside down, and he is completely using the wrong outlet to pour out his pain.

I wish the female lead was adopted to another family, even maybe overseas cause she deserves a fair chance instead of wearing a stigma of being an affair child. (Which isn’t true cause it was assault), She deserves the world mannnnn.

ok this is not a simple rape/sexual assault, MC's mom was forced by a high noble guy to rape the father, she doesn't have a choice in the matter as well, both are victims. the father was raped because the noble need a dirt on him (he's from a royalist faction but the royals need a more concrete way to tie him)
it's just a pure luck(?) that MC was conceived by it.

Mc's mom wrote to the father coz she's dying, they also lived w/ an older woman at the time but she's also really old and who knows what could happen in the future, she can't leave MC like that, she might end up as a destitute (not to mention, she also have green eyes in which the empire believed to be a race of witch and dancers, by their meaning of dancers, a prostitute/whore)

father took MC in because they need someone to replace the youngest daughter as a crown princess

duchess saw as to how MC got abused as a child, the father purposefully gave a nanny that's abusive, after learning all of this, she can't see him the same way before so she went to her parents to talk to them about divorcing him and how to be able to get the kids as well, sadly she died due to accident
