Studying is good and should be pushed by parents(people are naturally lazy and its good to install hardwork ethic in people) but to a certain extent it isnt worth it anymore, for example my brother worked really hard in highschool so he can get into a college and get a high paying job but after 2 years of college he dropped out because he saw that the job opportunities he was working so hard for actually weren't that good for how much effort he was putting in(not to mention that amount of debt he would be in didn't seem worth it) he ended up getting a blue colar job and now gets paid 60,000 a year which is amazing at 22 and in college he would've started out with that same pay but with a crap ton of debt to pay off. Basically studying espically now actually dosent bring as much success as much as people think it does, blue jobs don't require as much school and debt and pay pretty good compared to white jobs that pay more but require 4 years of school+debt and white jobs in general are very competitive. Studying till your health gives out is not worth it anymore and I don't think should be pushed by parents to that extent
i honestly don't understand why everyone's getting so angry with the parents pushing their kids to study, i thought all asian parents are like that?
