There’s a lot of romance out there that run on infatuation more than realistic/ healthy love where often the characters have some sort of gap (they aren’t equal, there’s a clear power dynamic or expectation of gender roles etc.) or they’re not fleshed out outside of their role as smth to be desired by the other characters and by readers. Rindo and amane feel more just like two people who are deeply connected as equals and admire each other a lot, communicate a lot etc. and don’t behave like they’re special or better than others

Rindo really understand amane very well. he appreciates everything that amane have done. usually i read uke who dumbly stay on the side and never understand their partner. they only think of themselves suffering and never thought why the seme become like that. i love this so much...
