Not weird, it's just your preference. Personally, I find their story boring and skip over it. You've seen their story played out a thousand times in bl manga. They dislike each other, they get drunk, sleep together and fall in love overnight. Boring. I'm glad when authors go against the grain and try something different. I love Dan and Joo's story.
