The way he looks or acted?
Cause if you talked bout his action that low profiled and not show up much there is big reason behind it..
Imo hes one of the green flag out there
His looks are fine, red eyes and black hair are a safe ML combo. Acting isn’t bad either and yeah I know he’s hiding his identity and all that. My issue is he only really shows up when the FL’s love life comes up. It’s not that I doubt his green flag-ness or anything, it’s just how he was introduced. He’s not the problem, it’s more how he’s been shown compared to the other male characters, so far. He feels kinda bland. Every time he’s mentioned it’s always connected to the FL (eitehr praising her, talking about how amazing she is, but never just about himself or anything else), never just him being himself. I just wanna know who he is outside of her. Would’ve liked some buildup earlier so we could get to know him before being told “he’s the ML.”
Like I already know the Emperor’s gonna push boundaries, test FL’s patience, and try to manipulate stuff to his favor. Nata’s a loyal knight who got mistreated cause of his looks but showed his abilities and stood up for himself after some encouragement, plus he’s a solid moral guide for the FL. But Rohan? All I know is he’s some guard who knows the FL, stares at her, talks about her all the time, and is a powerful fighter/general based on hints. And that’s great, but I need more for our boi. And I know more will come later but we’re 40+ chaps in and the other guys got more life and personality than the main one we’re supposed to root for. Just kinda sad tbh. Sorry for the long reply lol I swear I’m not mad or anything, just rambling. I get what you mean tho, I’ll give him time, I’m just disappointed it took this long to show him as an individual.

Urgh, he's not...bad, but so far VERY bland. Makes me wish Emperor or Nata were the ML, they both feel more developed. Rohan is giving strong checkbox ML vibes, just there to fill the space, has no value or weight outside of his role as ML. The Emperor and Nata are two characters that present themselves with other ambitions, interests, and lives outside of the MC even though they surround her. They're presented better as individual characters that could have their own stories without the FL being present. Rohan doesn't have that yet, and I feel like the author did him such a disservice. Cause now he just seems to only be here for the FL, outside of her he has nothing to add to the narrative and that's sad.
