Omg I feel the same way, the actually panels and text is pretty much identical, but somehow the new version doesn’t feel as funny it’s still great but something about the old version’s art or composition made it funnier

Some comedy/story only work on first read and lost lotof its charm on 2nd. Thats why alot of people want to erased their memory so they could enjoy the read like the first read over and over.
That's why I didn't read og again before reading new version because I know I would be doing the same thing. Thanks to that I don't remember details and can read nv in peace
Trueee!!! Thankfully i read the og decades ago, so i kinda erased my memory. So its still funny and working as of if not better since i remember main secret but not the details
Either some of the comedy is lost in the new version or I'm biased because I read the old version many years ago and I'm doing that old person thing "this isn't as good as the original" lol
Overall, the art is great, the plot remained the same, the scenes are almost identical panel per panel, and I would highly recommend that everyone reads this
