“Certainly wasn’t objecting to it enough” Is a WILD thing to say

I read the novel. According to the novel, this was clearly rape. Manhwa is giving more duncon vibes, but novel was not. Also I like this style of books, so no hate on any parade, but just because one abuse is "worse" than another, doesn't make abuse of any kind okay or less serious. Now back to find more dark stories, cuz suck it byatches I'm into this shit!

I know the novel was very much rape, I’m not arguing that. I would say this very much isn’t though. Like is he 100% giving his consent? No, of course not. But we also didn’t see them going from point A to point B, and during the actual act of sex, he isn’t fighting against it and even holding him closer. So I think it’s fair to say that this isn’t rape and like you said, mostly just dubcon at worst

I didn’t say clearly isn’t objecting to it enough. I said clear isn’t objecting to it WHICH IS ENOUGH. Because during the actual scene, he wasn’t expressing his desire to NOT be having sex and he was even holding him closer. So no, he clearly wasn’t objecting. The scene is dubcon at best.

    This made me slightly angry
    2/10 ragebait
Even if it’s just a yaoi comic, rape shouldn’t be normalised nor justified by says “he didn’t object enough”
I do understand your point but they way you said it can be taken as “so what of its rape he didn’t look like he wanted to die so it’s fine, there soooo much worst out there”

Not rage bait, I meant it. I’m glad you see what I’m getting at. Again, I didn’t say “he didn’t object enough” Unless I’m completely misremembering something, other than when they just started making out, he didn’t object at all. Maybe I missed something but when he was clinging on, it certainly didn’t seem like he didn’t want what was happening. I expected people to dislike my comment though, and I’m sure given how sensitive of a subject it is, it’s easy for people to read it negatively. That’s okay, it’s the nature of this kind of discourse. I do not condone rape in webcomics and I never have and never will. That being said, I 100% believe this is not rape. Dubcon at most.

There is not such thing as "he clearly wasn’t objecting". No means no, fam. We are not here to scale over lower or superior no. Just because you like chocolate cake does not mean someone can shove a whole cake in your mouth when you are not in the mood for it. No means NO: There is no half-no, no-no, full no, maybe no... NO IS NO. And the MC fairly objected enough, from being kidnapped to be scared to be bedded.

"We have no idea how the s3x happened"... Unless you were reading your eyes closed, I do not know what you are alluding to. The dude is chained, amnesic, kidnapped, and the emperor is pretty much a stranger to him at this time.

Even r@pe victims orgasm. It just gives me that you are deluding yourself into believing this is not r@pe to have better conscience. The Nil is not only a river.

You can be in denial, but no need to insult common sense either. We can tell an apple apart when we see one. If everyone sees an apple and you are the only one seing an orange, maybe you would want to recheck the definition of r@pe first before calling people "bunch of weenies". The definition is less restrictive that you could imagine and clearly encompasses scenarios like this one here.

The level of violence does not define r@pe, consent does. So, comparing to "the shit on here" is purely irrelevant. Do you sometimes go around abused victims, trying to argue that emotional abuse is lesser than physical abuse? Abuse is abuse.
