I think it gets overlooked with BL and GL..whatever the reason is, it's messed up. I think it doesn't happen often with wlm / mlw is because the backlash would be heavier and the author could practically get jumped. just my take
booktok is right there. even with how much shit it gets it's still selling really well. taboo topics do get written alot lately but blaming this to just bl/gl basically the sexual orientation is just wrong. both gender and no matter what sexual orientation is still very much interested in taboo topics + it is NOT overlooked with how many bl readers get shit for reading yaoi these days
