His sister was actually a big part of why he became easily influenced by criticism cause he knows how easily the public can turn on anyone in the spotlight. Rather than being famous, he wanted to become a beacon of hope to his sister as she was severely crushed by all these liars. He wanted her to see that he can hold his head up high while doing what he loves so that she can also take a step forward towards healing.
To be fair, I think the novel portrayed this part better, and I recall her being an art prodigy to the point where people called her the next Picasso or something like that.
Yeah, I think the artist just retconned her backstory from artist to trot singer so as to give both siblings musical backgrounds. The artist also changed other details too like giving the PD big brother (Seojun) more screen time and the idol sunbae (Woochan) more relevance earlier in the story.
My guess is that this is going to go a similar route as with the Greatest Estate Developer where the main points of the plot is the same, but the connecting details will be changed at the artist's discretion. Of course, that's because novels and manhwa have their own set of story telling techniques and won't always be fully adaptable, which will lead to the story either degrading or upgrading.

??? why is your sister previously fucked stardom an instigator for you to go into the idol world and now that you're already quite famous and debuted she starts throwing stuff and tantrums at you?
and instead of thinking that doing more gigs and being more famous will make your sister more mad, you think she's going to be relieved of her trauma and sense of loss??? no???
like what a weird conclusion and train of thoughts. i wonder if this plot line was thought on the spot. imo it's better if we redirect the plot for the character back to what it originally was, him being easily influenced by online and fans centered emotions thay burdened him to a point where he is depressed.
