The problems in this is so realistic. It actually hits home more than the grandness in the first "Therapy Game". I say, Therapy Game was quite "grand" with all its tropes of drunken one night stand, betting to get him and breaking his hurt turn into falling in love.

But in this, the issues are now more grounded in the reality. And with this, I love how you can really see the effects of the trauma Minato's mom did to him. They were not magically gone and he'll probably work on that for more years to come because it's such an integral memory especially for someone still developing when it happened. It was an upheaval that basically turned their life upside down.

Shizuma's personality is also more fleshed out. He's too kind for his own good and that is both a blessing and a curse. I could understand how frustrated Yuka was (though I still condemn her cheating, like that doesn't justify that). You couldn't even express your frustrations to him because you know that he's just trying his best and wants to achieve his dream. You'll feel selfish but you still miss him.

With Shizuma fleshed out, we can see more of their dynamics. They are such a yin and yang. Minato is pessimistic while Shizuma is so bright. But, I love how Minato is trying to overcome his trauma by choosing to trust Shizuma and sticking to those words. Shizuma is always the considerate Shizuma but he also learned to be a lil pushy especially when Minato shuts off. and Minato immediately breaks and tells him. But there are more progress where Minato tells more about his worries now vs before.

I love the worries about the stereotypes in bisexuals (although I was quite hurt because I'm bi) but they also show that not all bi are like that. What I love about the issues they bring out like - 1. Stereotypes with Bisexuals 2. Gender Discrimination 3. Compensation due to being part of the community - is that they both show the positive and negative sides. like i said the the first one. With the second one, they show it that not all people are like that. Children are curious and if they're taught, they learn.

and i love how all of these are done without feeling like i'm reading a preach. I also love from Therapy Game, how they're explicitly saying Shizuma is bi, Minato is gay, the cross dressers (is that what they call drag queens in japan). This is my first time encountering a trans character where they are explicitly said they're trans since the director hinted kf wanting to transition. And I love how they're definitely not side characters but are definitely regarded as main characters. So, Im looking forward for their progress.

tldr: i love this
