i couldn't agree more. Dojin was always an unlikeable character
He really is. Dojin could’ve been a really wonderful character and by extension husband but he’s just an awful man cosplaying a good one. All of his actions towards Hyesung were selfish and manipulative packaged to make it seem like everything he’s done was for him. He doesn’t respect his wife in the slightest and it only continues to show now when he can’t even respect Hyesung‘s basic wishes to keep his mother out of his and his family’s life.
Plus he raped hyesung in the first manhwa then I hardly countined reading it I don't understand how people Don't see how much he is a wolf in sheep's clothings he just manipulates everything. I've seen many shitty characters but they've been always openly bad. Characters like dojin is what I hate the most
Yup. I actually reread the whole main love is an illusion story before I read this one and you’re like 100% correct. He’s quite literally a wolf in sheeps clothing pretending to be innocent, thats what I hate about him as well. He says the things he does is because he’s thinking of Hyesung but his actions quite literally refute that. If he truly thought of hyesung he wouldn’t have raped him, baby trapped him or continuously pressured and guilted hyesung. He says he cares but then does things like he’s doing now, keeping and supporting Hyesungs purposefully estranged mother against his wishes in secret. Dojin just doesn’t give a damn about his feelings at all if he thinks he’s in the right and only pretends he did when he gets caught. He’s just a manipulative asshole pretending to be nice.
Honestly from what im reading and my perspective it seems like byul doesnt understand the depths of his mothers trauma and what he went through. The fact his dad is still talking to his grandmother I feel was a way for him to justify, like “well dad still is in touch with her so surely it wasn’t that bad?”. Unfortunately as much as I would like to assume grammy over here would get cut off, I doubt it given this authors track record and just how east asian family culture seems to be. The fact Dojin is still even in touch with her after knowing what Hyesung went through and his very firm wishes that she stays out of his life, including his sons just continues to put a bitter taste in my mouth. I really dislike his ass, he frustrates me to no end.
