How is it disgusting that he treated her as a friend despite knowing she had a crush ? He doesn’t like you but wants to remain as friends, I get feeling sadness at the heartbreak but disgust is too much seeing as he wasn’t using or making fun of her. If anything isn’t it better he set a boundary instead of letting her hold on
