I semi agree. But this isn't the "fated pair" dynamic of other stories. It's a forced pairing. I have someone my family is forcing me to be with, but I love you. Different dynamic vibes to I'm just playing with you until my fated pair arrives. Glunn even mentioned that many of his ancestors were unhappy, or they'd pay for the fated one to be a surrogate. It's definitely a odd situation, but I don't think it's that bad. I also don't think the author is going to take this story any weird romantic directions
I hate reading every sign but my boy is literally an orphan with no one loving him (even the caretaker of the orphanage took advantage of him) then Glunn bluntly says you're not my fated pair but I'm attracted to you regardless. He's forced in this morally gray area where he is wanted but also not? The crashout here would be so devastating for him istg (let my boy live happily please
