I mean I don't think that tumors are genetic

There can be genetic predisposition so your chances of getting it are higher. Take breast cancer for example - around 5-10% are due to genetic mutations that have been inherited so it is extremely important to get tasted often if someone in your family (mother, grandmother etc) has had it.
