Downvote doesn't necessarily mean angry, just a disagreement. We finally got an explanation to the mc's debilitating trauma related to emotional child abuse. Dismissing the plot of the story for more sex scenes that you could get from porn/other yaoi would have ppl disagreeing with you. In the same way you said practicing selective consumption is a thing, you could choose to read something without plot if the end goal you want is sex. Not saying you can't be horny but there's a time and place
