So real Ruby who is saved by him really loved and trusted Caesar but our "other" Ruby just got abused and hate him and that made him more mad. I wish he was just an evil mind without any kind of violence, I'd forgive his corruption.

    No his memory are distorted
That's his side of the story, he abused her (physically/verbally) but for him those days were the best and they were so in love.
He don't remember the actual fact just his version of it distorted by his mind.

No, there was no "real" Ruby that loved him, if you see what happens here you can easily see he is delusional, the previous chapters was about events that happened with our Ruby and not the Ruby that was before the possession (the only time we saw the og Ruby was when she was a very little kid.

He believe that the hitting is a form of love (I think there was something his father told him when he hit Caesar) so for him it is just ways he show her he loved her (the whipping) and not something that should be address.

if we compare it to the way normal people are, and I would give it with couples because that how he sees her:

When a husband thing about his memories with his wife he would not start to think of the meals they had or their lunch, or their small arguments about who finished the soap, he will think of the first date, the birthday presents, meeting her parents for the first time.

It's the "we were happy together, so why did you leave" but when you ask the wife she would say she was not happy because he was actually a neglecting husband.

Back to Caesar. If you look at the first chapters, she was so scared of him that she acted as if she does not want to leave his side. She is literally showing a memory of her self with the siblings laughing in the sun and say "I was a puppet, it is a false show"

It just that Caesar believed it was the truth.

Caesar's an unreliable narrator. In their moments of 'happiness' Ruby was mostly trying to survive. I think at some point they were just normal siblings but Caesar abused her just because she 'forgot' their promise or something. So what Caesar saw as happiness was Ruby's way of protecting herself. If she doesn't agree with Caesar, he'd physically abuse her.

You said it better then my roundabout way. Yes. He is the definition of unreliable narrator.
