I think the alternate ending (chap16) wrecks it. First the word alternate meaning cannon Yeon-Ho is dead and we never know if the person running to him is Jae-Ha cause the face isn't filled in and looks like a teenager to me, so did he go back and die in the place of Jae-Ha? Could have kept a good story going by exploring how they build a relationship with having to get past Jae-Ha's resentment and Yeon-Ho's apathy/cowardice.

im not even sad. i saw this coming and i thought it was bullshit then and i think it is now.
this doesnt even count as tragedy to me, the ending was so gratuitously unneccesary that it just stops feeling like the coherent, well-written story it was and more of the author giggling like, "oo, i gotcha!"
or maybe im wrong and she was going for the full cirlce effect; even so, im just not feeling it. the last chapter ruined a pretty awesome story, imo.
