Maybe your taste have changed idk. But when I read the 2nd volume it was very exciting since their relationship was at peak. Idk maybe there isn't enough sex or theres too much lol. For me, there isn't enough comedic stunts of the couple. Idk im not making sense lol
the chapters are shorter, but i liked it since it tells a day to day life of kobayashi & yamamoto

Nah, I completely agree. These recent chapters (despite adding new characters) have all just felt like the same thing on loop I guess? Volume 1 kept it fresh with concept and the budding relationship - but by volume 4 "this man has an extremely huge dick" has become well overused. I guess I'd be more interested if I cared about sake brewing, because while that developed, the characters did not. They were just more of the same.
Forgive me if I'm wrong...
But does it seem like it lost its spark from Vol.1?
