How is the demon any better? All of this is happening because of the demon. The demon has brutally raped him for months. The demon made him pregnant against his will. The demon has brainwashed all of his staff and then raped him in front of them. The demon has hurt countless people.
How is the demon any different? How is he any better?
Did you forget that Rain Burker offered his life to the devil to make Erwar suffer? That's why the demon did all those things to Erwar. But as time goes by we can see that the demon is slowly having a soft spot for Erwar to the point that he, a DEMON, risk his life by telling Erwar his true name. Besides, the demon and the crown prince are completely different. The demon do bad things because, he's a demon (what do you expect him to do? ) it's his job to punish and cast evil people to hell, meanwhile the latter is completely an asshole, bullying and killing people as he pleases (rain, tristan, even harming the true heir to the throne i think). Plus, the demon's feelings for Erwar is genuine while the shitty grand duke's feelings are just obsession and possession.
So it's okay that the demon is an abusive rapist who is obsessive and possessive even though just being near the MC hurts him and puts him in a terrible position because he's a demon.
It's just his nature that he's abusive and a rapist so it's not his fault or responsibility.
The demon is killed countless people and hurt countless people but that's okay because it's his nature so he's allowed to do it without any sort of consequences or hard feelings.

The two tops are exactly the same. There is no difference between them... Except the crown Prince at least doesn't hurt the MC's social standing.
