After they made up cerdics son comes to visit with the prince thats wasnt planned the prince just decided to drop by Eve is at first nervous about that due to the whole situation about Eve being there and stuff but just like his dad he is super chill about that and friendly
Since his engagement with the dukes second daughter has been decided on Cedric said he should plan the banquet to welcome the prince in the castle since he is an adult now
He does a super good job and Eve ( who isnt good with crowds and usually cant handel banquets well) leaves the venue for a short while and spirals a bit about how he cant do much and knows much
While that happens some stranger in a coat talks to him and eve is uncomfortable and leads him back to the banquet (dude introduces himself as an official from the place the prince was actually supposed to visit)
Cedric finds eve and dude vanish and they talk eve talks about his insecurities about how he cant give anything to ml and ml says all he wants is eve to be by his side happy
The last ch31 out right now has eve at a market fair with his lady in waiting
Ch 30 also as an extra that states the ages
Cedric is 33
Eve is 31 ( is paper have been changed he is actually 34)
Cedric son is 15
Cedric former wife died 4 ~ 5 years ago they got married when he was 17
So eve is left alone with all of this just starting self doubt and depression
, then ml comes back but only calls eve 14days after his return to see him
He gives him a bangel / bracelet and leaves again
Eve finds documents about engagement talk
That + all the talk from the servants
(about why ml would marry the enemy and territory wars loser)
+ all ready being depressed about everything+ the lady in waiting being on vacation+ winter coming and eve cant read in the garden no more
= makes for an insanely strong depression cocktail
Ml is wondering why he hasn't seen eve in days and tells the servants that they be meeting in two days in the bridal chamber
Eve comes that evening to Ml and asks him to behead him or look him up in the tower dungeon as that the engagement talks with the duke are almost done eve has become obsolete
Ml gets mad at that (and i got mad at him for that lol)
Eve said since their marriage is white it can still be annulled
Ml makes a move at eve one thing goes to another and they kiss and the spend the night together (ch 23)
In the morning eve tries to talk about how they can still act like this didn't happen and call the marriage off and ml explains that eve has nothing to do with the engagement since its his son thats gonna marry
(lol he literally says something like " you didn't give me an opportunity to explain, you just talked about beheading)
Ml says that despite the circumstances that bought eve her he hope to make eve happy and says thats why he didn't sleep with him sooner because he didn't want to pressure him or make him uncomfortable
But since it happened now he hopes eve wont reject him in the future and they kiss again
