if u want good art n not rapey, can i drop some random recommendations? i’m trying to think of non overly sexual ones n definitely not rapey. they def fuck lol but idk what u consider overly sexual. i’ve read some where i had to drop bc they fuck allll the time n it’s the same shit every time lol so our definitions of “overly” might be a little different. but anyways! “our sunny days” has good art, great wholesome but realistic plot, extra green flag couple. various side characters but only one couple so it’s not messy at all, very well loved i’d say. “1995 youth report” also has good art, green flag characters, def more sexual than our sunny days but it’s a realistic build up i’d say so it’s nice. “melting point” is only on its first season n has a few chapters but i love a good yearning plot. green flag characters. bit of a slow burn but one of the dudes is a yearnerrrr so its more of a build up rly. “a first of summers” has great art n a very realistic plot/characters. age gap but the way they go about it is realistic too. “nerd project” has decent art n has an interesting plot that’s not about the couple but it doesn’t build up (plot wise) until a bit later. top seems kinda sus at points but thats just his character/plot id say. he’s not mean or anything. likes the other guy genuinely, they just make him a bit mysterious sometimes. “seven sundays” has good art n another realistic plot. this one n “our sunny days” include single fathers, i forgot to mention. “the dirtiest high” has good art/colors but i don’t remember much else besides liking the characters n the story (def not rapey, red flag, etc.) i kinda wanna mention “red string quests” but that one is deffff sexual LOL i just rly like the art (general, smut, AND the chibi lol). i also love yearners n they’re definitely that. starts sexual but the second arc (where we’re currently at) is more plot focused. seems like it will be a bit angsty cause red string/“doomed” fate/past life/etc but the characters themselves are good/not rapey/mean/etc. okay that’s it, i don’t wanna over do it bc it doesn’t seem like ur big on BL. i just wanted to recommend some but they’re good reads n can’t imagine ~this~ story being the one to bring u back to BLs (respectfully, to u n the author of this series lol.) if u don’t wanna go through them all, i’d say plot n character wise, “our sunny days” might be the nicest/sweetest one so maybe start there.
omg that is so fucking long i’m sorry LOL but i recommended 8 of them (i just skimmed my currently reading n read lists). gave some of my favs but also just ones i remember liking in passing.

ah i’m glad! it’s still ongoing so the plot is building still! but the rest are just as good (if not better). wish i could reread some for the first time again LOL even if they’re unfinished
