Someone spoil me please. Does this get a happy ending. If so how. Like give me a summary. ...

I think the novel is still ongoing (for English translation, at least) not sure if it’s completed. The chapters are not that many yet from what I saw.

I read a little bit of the novel before the site where I’m reading it from crashed (if you’re curious, it’s the lilyonthevalley site. So far, Daphne still hates him and will reject his marriage proposal repeatedly. She will basically tell him that she hates him enough to want to prefer dying a painful death at the hands of Artemis than marry him and spend an eternity with him.

Sorry I kind of skimmed past the novel so details might not be very accurate. But from what I understand, apparently, Apollo was already in love with her from the beginning, before he was even struck by Eros’ arrow. He liked teasing her and seeing her reactions, his eyes are always following her, that’s how he knows every reaction she has from his actions. But he’s stupid and blind so he didn’t know he was in love arghhhh!! And he knows that she already swore allegiance to Artemis, and breaking her vow will ultimately mark her death. Stupid, I know. After he was struck by the arrow, it basically opened his eyes and made him realize what he actually felt for Daphne, and I think it further magnified his “love” for her.

The last thing I read was Eros coming into Daphne’s dream and telling her that her hatred is all fake and was all because of the gods’ whim and petty revenge. He was feeling guilty seeing how Daphne was suffering. Daphne will tell him that if he’s really sorry, he will help her. So he helped her escape Apollo’s territory and placed her somewhere no one would find her. I couldn’t read the rest because the site is not responding now T.T.

But I think, with her knowing that her hatred was all due to Eros’ arrow, there might be a chance that it can be cured. This was also mentioned somewhere in the novel. Apollo can cure his spell but he refused to do so.

Knowing the actual myth this was based on, though, it might still end in tragedy…

I feel youuu, but at the same time, I also don’t want Daphne to be trapped as a tree or remain hateful till the end, cause she is suffering as well. It would have been great if it was just Apollo. But trust me, from what I’m seeing, there’s going to be tons of groveling in this story

Okaaay forget about the lot of groveling part. The novel is already completed. And it’s very short. So we might not see much more after she runs away. I don’t want to spoil more about the ending. But this one’s going to be a short story
