I think it’s a dream that happened because they were talking about the past and then fucked and his brain glitched and processed the two as one and the same. I’ve had it before with almost the same situation and I’m still not right in the head despite it happening years ago. I’m just repeating what my therapist said causes it.

They had sex then went to sleep so most likely it just came out or he peed himself from fear and as for the robe, he was probably thrashing in his sleep to fight it. It’s common for people to physically try to fight it even if their body gets locked down. Basically the brain is meant to lock your body down to prevent you from falling to your death while you sleep. When your brain fails to unlock your body when you wake up is what we call sleep paralysis. Some people can manipulate their own dreams and can be “awake” while sleeping and are able to think and act as if awake but they can’t change the content of the dream since the subconscious does that. That’s why he was thinking “just wake me up!!” and thrashing. Some movement does still happen even if your body is locked in place since it’s a battle of the subconscious vs conscious brain.
