Not everyone deserves forgiveness

Some people are genuine monsters and don’t deserve forgiveness. The way the author wrote this, through the lens of our MC and watching his trust be shattered, his autonomy, his choice as a human being dangled in front of him teasingly. Watching him be brutally raped and abused, it brought me to tears. The author is good at putting this horrifying uncomfortable twisting dread in your stomach every-time ML is on screen.

Its the reason that when I’m reading him get this redemption arc, theres a permanent frown on my face. If ML was ever correct in one thing in this whole story, He was correct in all of his ruminating before he attempted to kill himself. It’s presumptuous to assume such a disgusting vile human being like him deserves to experience love and anticipate it from the person who he ruined with no remorse. I don’t feel sorry for him when he tried to kill himself, not only because of his horrifying abuse towards mc but because he decided to commit suicide right there in that house with the pen that he was given as a gift.

He knew Mc was close somewhere, he knew that he’d feel it. He should’ve never tried to kill himself, he should’ve lived with the disgusting acts he committed and selflessly sent MC away without the lovey dovey bullshit he played. I just have nothing but resentment, what makes me more mad and so sad is that I don’t think MC would’ve ever “regretted” his revenge if he wasn’t stuck in that basement watching ML be a pitiful sack of shit.

ML is an evil bastard who hasn’t only hurt MC but other innocent omegas, he’s violent and cruel.

In my opinion, mc doesn’t love him the way he thinks he does. He experienced kindness for the first time after being born into such an evil and abusive environment. ML gave him a faux kindness and thats what he holds onto, his own mind pointed the finger at him when it wasn’t his fault. Nothing he did warranted being raped and abused, he convinced himself he was sorry but if he hadn’t been unable to leave and actually got away. If he had met a genuinely moral, loving alpha who doesn’t have a track record of treating living human beings as props— I don’t believe he would’ve wound up where he was. He says it himself, “it was fun at first” but it only became less enjoyable when he convinced himself he was also in the wrong. When all he could do was stare at ML’s face through those screens and feel MLs sadness, not his own. I won’t be finishing this story but regardless, I hope he ends up happy even if unfortunately it’s with his abusive rapist.
