Yeah, it's too late bc she remebers perfectly how, last time, he even killed someone out of mere discontent (rather than... I dunno, trying to work it out? ...doing anything any rational person would try, ...before deciding that 'bloody revenge via murder of loved ones' is the only option at hand??). No way anyone would keep trusting the guy, after THAT.
It's bitter that he still hopes it's not too late, he's starting to do everything right but he should've done it from the start
