I mean mental health and disorders does not exist or not recognized in the story, also in Korea irl I believe. It's like Dohu is the first person in that universe to discover they are not like other people when processing their emotions.
I dont think thats true, I think its clear he has a disorder and he/the story acknowledges it without really giving it a name but like you said Korean society doesn't really acknowledge it and expects eveyone to go with the same flow. Everyone hes around him is fairly sociable and emotional and hes the odd man out which is commonly the case irl with these situations. He doesnt really have anyone to relate too or help him on a deeper level
No one tried to help Dohu or at least adjust with him. Even now, Juheon still incriminates Dohu as if being a poor communicator is evil and part of lying and using.
