I'm pretty sure it's the opposite of homophobia. She's already got it bad, and is either afraid of how Aya would react to being hit on by another girl or knows Aya has a girlfriend and is trying to fight off her own feelings.
I hope she is not homophobic. That shit will turn the story sour. Let her be a rival lol that will be more exciting.
