It's such a turn off, like yeah, the story is about two guys falling in love but we don't need your internalized misogyny/misogyny on the side either.

I don't understand which woman are you referring to be annoying, because the story doesn't have like that at all. So i really want to know your side. Personally, the characters are great and the conflicts did resolve well

I think my point was misunderstood. I'm criticizing the trope itself, which is a lazy and often misogynistic writing tool. When authors create female characters whose only purpose is to be "the annoying obstacle" for the gay couple, it does a disservice to both the story and women as characters. It's not about hating individual female characters, it's about wanting better, more respectful representation that doesn't rely on turning women into one dimensional villains or nuisances.

HMMM I forgot which women but I remember the mc being annoyed how the girl who he was flirting with before is being "clingy" (annoying) so he's like "Whatever" when the girl got mad. I don't understand why bl authors always create "annoying women" or make women the villain like almost all the time. Kinda reminds me of this one bl manhwa where the top "fake" flirted with this girl to get something out of her(I forgot what reason), and at the end they made it as if she's a bad person. Like hellooooo? She has every right to be upset and act petty, especially since this dude just played with her feelings and was actually gay. And I believe the top never apologized, they just acted as if she's just upset of being rejected... Like mind u, he was full blown flirting with her and everyone thought they were gonna date.
