Trying to remember a manga

Has anyone read a manga about two sibling (high school and elementary) that lose their parents and go and live with their uncle and his girlfriend, who I think is an author so she stays at home.
I remember bits of it. Like when they first go to their apartment, the girlfriend throws salt at them.
The little boy is afraid of the rain, so they buy him a cute umbrella.
There's a chapter where the little boy, is trying to remember the faces of his parents, but can't, but the family makes curry and the little boy remembers how his mom made it.
