Honestly they did him dirty at the beginning. Ngl there was a couple times I confused him with the dad... and that gave major pedo vibes... even if the gap is 7years wich... is not that bad tbh. I still dislike that they are technically adopted siblings... I hate incestuous trope... blood or not. The saving grace is that it was made clear from the beginning those "adoptees" usually end up marrying in... still weirds me out but I can tolarate...
What irks me most is that I agree with you...I hate all that 2 broken pieces makes a whole thing... like yeah but it was supposed to be 2 wholes not 1... and their relationship ain't healthy at all... it takes way less than the problems between them for a couple to break off so It feels like it would make more sense if they got with other people instead of each other... I really with they went the repair relationship to a familial point but get romantic with someone else route...
maybe asiel would've been fine as the ml if he at least had a backbone but he becomes an anxious mess in front of the fl. like when will you move on? has there ever been a time that he looked at her without this weird ahh submissive expression? put aside the fact that he's been in her life since childhood, she herself is pretty badass and i think she seriously needs someone who can top that and in a way be more manly and stable than asiel. someone to break heavens open for her. and that means NOT forcing himself onto her with a kiss like a dog.
