Dojin chose to keep minimal contact with her as well as Byul made his own decision to continue speaking with his grandmother, which he has every right to do. I still don't understand why everyone is coddling Hyesung. Hyesung has made plenty of mistakes in the past, one being abandoning his child for the few months when he was born. Look at how that entire thing made Byul feel after reading this most recent chapter.

I got harsh earlier because seeing someone defend a rapist character and blame the victim really set me off; and it still does. The story makes it clear Byul’s existence is tied to a sexual assault. Hyesung’s reactions aren’t ‘mistakes,’ they’re trauma responses. It’s not us ‘coddling’ him to recognize that.
Anyway, I stand by what I said, defending a rape/rapist isn’t an opinion worth debating. I’ll leave it at that.
