Fr. Some relationships just not being mendable is realistic, it's where people draw boundaries from abuse and all. Hyesung talking with his mom and them being a "family" again would be completely unrealistic and feed more into the family first agenda no matter how damn toxic and abusive someone is, bc again all people harp about is how he's abandoned byul too while the whole point was to highlight the difference between him and his mom and growth. Genuinely hoping the author doesn't take that route, bc this reason and narrative is just..problematic
Yeah exactly, like it’s not even about holding grudges , it’s about self-preservation. Some people just don’t deserve a second chance, and pretending otherwise kinda cheapens everything Hyesung went through.
It’s just crazy how the author acts like this is some touching full-circle moment when it’s really not. Hyesung doesn’t owe forgiveness, and forcing that narrative through his kid feels lazy and tone-deaf. Some relationships are meant to stay broken , and that’s okay.
