Why? Cause they don't have ears? I think he meant to draw sea lions but it's not really that big a difference lol

Yeah totally but it is just a minimalistic sketch so you can't see the differences
As a certified seal lover, those are not sea lions. The ones being drawn out are seals, that of which are completely different than sea lions (although they are in the same family tree called pinnipeds)
