I did a school project on Chinese imperial eunuchs. Idk why I chose that topic tbh. It was mostly about their reputation and how they're still slandered to this day (yes they did sometimes do scheming and stuff but any killing of an emperor or whatever was under the orders of a more powerful person, also it was literally aristocrats trying to convince ppl to hate them bc they were jealous of their closeness with the emperor, when really eunuchs were either slaves or men who were so poor that they resorted to castration for the chance of a better life, but I'm supposed to side with the ppl born rich over them? Nah. Anyways that's why I don't like eunuchs being portrayed as "cunning and devious" all the time lol)

Idk about Korean eunuchs, but I imagine it was the same as Chinese eunuchs- who didn't have balls OR a penis. Being a eunuch generally meant FULL castration, not partial, they didn't want you fucking the concubines even if you couldn't get them pregnant. It seems most ppl think of partial castration as what castration is in general, maybe bc of castratos (men who were partially castrated as boys to preserve their singing voice)?
