i also looked at the raws and from my perspective this is what happens:
she’s technically 9 y.o. at the time he’s living at rn. some sort of time skip happens (and i assume they still meet when she’s asleep throughout the whole time) and we reach the time when she’s in college. since the flow of time is different for them (she sees him nightly while he sees her weekly), not much time has passed for her but he’s caught up to when she’s in college. she asks him what year it is for him and he tells her and she’s like “oh i was in college at *college* at that time!”. so he decides to see if he can find her and he goes to the college. he finds her in the library and they both sense each other’s presence but he doesn’t make contact bc she wouldn’t have recognized him.

I'm crying the life out me rnHe already knew her, even before she started teleporting when dreaming, when she's still in school (I think), he saw her and immediately knew it was her but he stopped himself from approaching her since she doesn't know him yet and he waited (years or even decade) until she find him herself base on what i understand upon seeing the raws, and that man with a declining hairline is his friendddd but I didn't see them having children at the end but he proposed at least and they got married
