Its been 5 whole years... and he was blind back then so now that his sight is back, his other sense that got sharpened during his time being blind got reduced instead cuz he no longer needed to focus on only hearing and touch.
His memories must be blurry....
i mean i don't blame him for not recognising but its her fault for lying about her appearance. now she can't expect him to recognise her and get hurt cause he can't. the fact that he is not mistaken the sister for appearance is already a lot.

I think half of her want to be recognized because it would make her happy, but also, judging from what Paula is like, I think she also didn't want to be recognized because she didn't want vincent to be disappointed by how she looks. I think thats the reason why Paula lied... and it was apparent that she has extremely low self esteem that she often degrades herself.
