You are so real for this! This was the exact reason I had to break up with my EX he was so controlling and wanting me to report every second of my life to him! Yet he was a genuine and good guy tho, just couldn’t deal with this side of his personality
thiss. sometimes it just boils down to comparability issues since they don't mean no harm but the other partner can't keep up with their demands cuz its ingrained in their personality.
