Just click off the check mark "subscribe this manga" for now, and comeback in 3 or 5 months. I think mangago will automatically send notifications.
In my 5 years using this site I never noticed that button thank you.. also mangago doesn’t notify automatically. it has the notification button checked, but it’s ultimately left up to the uploader. It even has a notice in bold so it actually has to be debated before notifying
