The MC doesn't tells the ML about the Guide thing, because the wuxia world would not take it very well. ML has noticed MC's quick healing, though, and has noted that MC heas faster when he touches him...but he hasn't confronted him about it yet (I'm currently at chapter 350).
However, the ML does find out about MC's lightning powers (I don't remember the chapter number, but I think it was after 200). The MC gets caught up in a hallucinogen and attacks the ML because he's having flashbacks. ML is actually REALLY excited about it, because it's the first time someone's come close to his power level. He's been the strongest for so long. (≧∀≦)
The big concern about the lightning powers is that people might think it's magic, which is BAD, so ML teaches MC an extinct martial art to disguise it.
