imo with the bug references they are showcasing their views/perspective and the characters are polar opposites to one another ml is selfish whilst fl is selfless. OR my other thing is that ml has yet to see someone righteous and vulnerable but hasnt broken down as in human nature when ur pushed over the edge you are bound to lose some or your morales to which he can see that she hasnt
so he manipulates her and tries to test her willingness to survive, and when he says protect he is only protecting her for the sake of his own amusement.
like cant forget the fact he took part of the online bullying of the fl etc etc.

I wonder what this psychos “feelings” are towards the FL. Sure I can see it in a romantic light… psycho finds someone who he’s obsessed with, but it’s also like, does he see her as an object he wants to obtain and put up on his shelf of collections? Maybe emotionally broken down to the point that she’s just cooped up in his house forever, broken wings & all?
Or is she the same type of crazy he is and that’s what he recognises in her, which he finds intriguing? There’s a link with the bug references between the two.
