Even with allies, there’s no way those branch families would want to go against the emperor. Especially after he dismissed the main ducal family, what chances do they have? They’re practically bugs to the emperor, wiping them out would be a breeze.
I think it’s better for them to keep what they have for when the main family manages to get back up.
how can they call it a duke's household when they don't have knights, allies, or any real power at all? no matter how much of a tyrant the current emperor is, an old household with that status should have many vassal families to support them right?? i don't like the logic behind this and the pacing is kinda slow lol.
from the summary, i thought it would be romance-focused. idk if that's happening in the near future, hope it does tho
