Justifying his actions is weird, let’s be fr. You can enjoy the story but don’t make excuses for a characters that’s obviously meant to be evil.

I don't know how people perceive stories, every time when I read comments of the stories, people talk about the characters in the stories as if they're real people, (like you're watching from the perspective of the devil who kills people and mad that he's killing people)
The comments that I saw during the time is like reading a toxic romance story and being mad that there's toxic romance
Fiction is meant to affect you, when someone cries watching a sad movie- you wouldn't shame them, right? No. Because that’s the point of story telling.
You root for a character, hate a character, feel bad for a character. Because the story is meant to impact you, at-least a good story is.
Obviously the authors intention for this manga is to make it purposefully dark. And it’s interesting reading about unconventional MCs…but that doesn’t make most readers hate them any less. And that’s also fine, like Lolita. It’s expected. You can read about a story with a horrible mc- that was literally light after he lost his mind. You can enjoy fiction without justifying bad actions that do happen to real people.
I personally hate these characters lol, the pedo and the demon. That doesn’t make the story any less interesting. Instead I want to read until the end. (Hoping it’s a bad end for them both)
And also you can’t compare this to a toxic romance story, it’s not tagged as BL for a reason. It’s horror. The author isn’t justifying their actions, so why should you? You’re not meant to root for them. By doing that you miss the overarching theme of the story.

(The bad girls that got their souls eaten) I named my comment the Kira situation, because I kind of perceived it as "is it okay to kill people if they're bad?" (They weren't good people so I didn't feel bad when they died )And it was quite surprising to me. People's views on the story being misogynistic against woman because they mainly killed woman.

Although it wasn't labeled BL, the story has a lot of BL elements. It could also be shounen AI. I just questioned why there's no tag (kind of like killing stalking)
(Theory) I think the story will end with the MC getting eaten in the demon just walking off, a" we both got what we wanted now" and the demon continues to eat women and some men here and there
I don’t think it’s bad necessarily, however we do know that a lot of these women don’t do things that warrant death. It’s not necessarily the kira situation, since these girls aren’t even criminals. Heck the first girl died because she was annoying and mentally ill. It’s shown that the demon guy deceives them- all so he can get a signature. We also know that pedo (genuinely forgot his name) likes to watch women be killed- and wants that to happen to him. I think the reason as to why many women feel uncomfortable reading this is because, yes. The protagonist is a misogynist, he makes it extremely clear and we can’t ignore how big of a theme the femcide.
All that said, theyre meant to be evil and gross. It’s chill if people can’t handle the horror aspects of this, which tends to be the brutal killing of women and the twinks face (he’s so creepy). And it’s also okay, like I said to enjoy the story. It’s only justifying their actions I have an issue with, I compared it to Lolita because the protagonist is also horrid in Lolita (a big understatement). However the book is still considered a literary masterpiece for various reasons. Critical thinking is needed when it comes to horror and pyschological thrillers.
