I feel like another reason why Luke is so adamant about trusting his friends is because he has someone in his face (andrew) constantly fighting with him about how his friends were not good people (people who he knows better than andrew). So yeah, you could say that Luke’s being naïve but he literally was talking to Bruno. We don’t know what they talked about really. And he could be figuring out stuff himself. We are really only getting andrews side right now
I don't think it's possessiveness not like those other bl's where the dudes are one step away from locking up the mc.
Andrew isn't like that yes he's overprotective but within right, he knows derrick is a petty shit that'll try to mess with luck and Bruno already showed he's willing to mess with his friends for bribes so with his past experiences it makes him even more paranoid and distrusting (we saw how he was with Luke in the beginning )
Andrew has been alone since the incident in the past ,he has no friends and his family is shit . He opened himself up to Luke so Luke is now the only person he really has and he's fine with that doesn't see the need to have anyone else cause he's accustomed to being alone.That last sentence doesn't scream ominous to me but more just shows the situation for what it is, he doesn't have anyone in his immediate circle besides Luke so to him the only one that matters is Luke.

Guys, why r we all hating on luke. Did we not just see what andrew said at the end of the chapter?? I mean yeah like lukes trusting and all dat but andrews getting so overprotective to the point where its obsessive.. like the way the scene was done at the end made andrew seem so ominous, especially when you look at his face and how distressed he is. The fact that it doesnt show his face after he says lukes the only one he needs gives the scene an eerie vibe. Sussy and its getting concerning he lowkey needs to chill with that
