I cannot believe shed do that to her baby.. I lost all interest in the story when I realized that she knows shes pregnant but was going to continue to chase victory. I was SO sure she would tell the crown prince on her own and that would be the next stage in their relationship where Sahara proves she can be trusted and that shes not the careless and uncommunicative person she used to be. Oh no.. in the end It took her getting poisoned and crown prince saying will you only stop when the baby is dead!! I cannot fathom the motivation nor the logic behind that... they packaged it as she didnt want to part with him but that doesnt explain her behavior of continually putting herself in front of danger and forcefully volunteering to be on the forefront of getting injured or killed while pregnant.
I get that that was probably all she had in her life but the lack of character growth on her part (unlike the crown prince) after 100s of episodes has me feeling like the end of the story isnt making sense. It is so disappointing to see a character trapped in the past and unable to grow with the story. Considering her behavior, i dont think it makes sense for crown prince to be able to ever trust her. Time after time after time she lies to him, doesnt communicate anything and makes a choice that only serves her knowing it will hurt him and her child. Like literally every opportunity presented to her, she fails the crown prince. If he trusted her, ever, that would result in a gap in logic or as he says hes truly lost his marbles. She has shown nothing but her self serving nature combined with lack of communication. It would be the same for painting Sahara as a loving mother. That is such a jump in the story and i was confused. Thats not who she is and we can clearly see that from the choices that she makes. I can understand why the rating on this story is low. In my opinion the lack of character growh on the part of Sahara, the main character of the story, makes this story not worth the investment of the time that it was. She doesnt learn anything and never grows and the reader is left to make sense of the outcome that doesnt align with where Sahara is as a chracter. Whats the lesson here? get yourself a man wholl sacrice everything including his boundaries and his child to be with you? Im frustrated and sad because I loved the story and the crown prince's character growth so much.
